Sheikh Hamdan unveils action plan to transform education, transportation, and real estate in Dubai.

Dubai has unveiled an ambitious master plan to transform education, real estate, and transportation while preserving its rich heritage over the next decade. Announced by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, the comprehensive strategy aims to support the emirate's long-term growth as part of the Dubai Plan 2033 and the Dubai Social Agenda 33.

Education Strategy 2033

The Education Strategy 2033 is designed to enhance education standards and empower the next generation with essential skills. This initiative will provide a roadmap from early childhood through higher education, prioritizing career guidance and ensuring that UAE students are well-prepared for admission to top universities both locally and globally. The strategy includes diverse pathways, such as internationally accredited vocational institutions, and was developed with input from educators, parents, and school leaders.

Real Estate Strategy 2033

The Real Estate Strategy 2033 aims to elevate real estate transactions to Dh1 trillion ($227.2 billion) and double the sector’s contribution to Dubai's economic diversification. This strategy seeks to boost Emirati competitiveness and promote homeownership, thereby enhancing family stability. It targets a 70% increase in real estate transactions and aims to multiply the value of Dubai’s real estate portfolios by 20 times, contributing Dh73 billion to the emirate’s GDP.

Dubai Cashless Strategy

The Dubai Cashless Strategy is set to position the emirate among the top five cashless cities globally by 2033. This initiative will focus on increasing digital transactions across all sectors, aiming to contribute AED8 billion to the economy. The goal is to ensure that 100% of businesses in Dubai accept digital payments, facilitating a seamless and modern financial landscape.

Suspended Transport Systems Project

The Suspended Transport Systems Project will play a pivotal role in Dubai's Smart Mobility Strategy. The plan aims to automate 25% of all trips by 2030 through a newly approved 65km transport system connecting Umm Suqeim Street, Al Khor, and Zabeel. This project will enhance public transport efficiency, aiming to increase the share of public transport journeys to 26% of all trips by 2030.

Dubai National Archives Project

Lastly, the Dubai National Archives Project, overseen by the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, aims to document and preserve the history and heritage of Dubai. This initiative will involve archiving government records, historical achievements, and cultural heritage, ensuring that the story of Dubai is preserved for future generations.

Together, these strategies form a cohesive vision for a sustainable and prosperous future for Dubai, reinforcing its status as a global destination for living, learning, and investment.
