Dubai is set to experience remarkable growth, with its population projected to reach 4 million by 2026. This surge is largely fueled by a significant influx of expatriate professionals seeking better job opportunities in the emirate, as well as investors eager to capitalize on the promising returns from Dubai’s thriving economy.

As of October 16, 2023, Dubai's population stands at 3.789 million, reflecting an increase of 134,000 since the beginning of the year. Since January 2021, the city has welcomed over 378,000 new residents, primarily due to the appeal of its diverse job market and investment potential.

According to global ratings agency S&P, the GDP per capita in Dubai is expected to rise to approximately $38,000 (Dh139,460) in 2024. This economic vitality has not only attracted professionals but has also drawn a growing number of millionaires. Currently, Dubai ranks 15th among the world’s top cities, hosting 212 centi-millionaires and 72,500 millionaires, highlighting its status as a magnet for wealth.

The future looks bright for Dubai, with projections indicating more than a 150% increase in the migration of centi-millionaires between 2024 and 2040, particularly in conjunction with the emirate’s ambitious Economic Agenda D33. This plan aims to double the size of Dubai's economy over the next decade, boost foreign trade to Dh25.6 trillion, and create thousands of new employment opportunities.

S&P analysts anticipate that Dubai will sustain a real GDP growth rate of around 3% on average from 2024 to 2027, following a robust 3.3% growth in 2023. The services sector—comprising real estate, hospitality, and financial services—will be pivotal in driving this growth, supported by ongoing social and economic reforms across the UAE.

With a business-friendly environment characterized by simplified visa regulations and successful long-term residency programs, Dubai continues to attract new businesses and talent, positioning itself as a global hub of opportunity and innovation.
